As a result of the COVID-19 Crisis, there is dramatically less drivers on the roads, resulting in a decrease in auto claims. In support of their valued clients and the challenges they may be facing, insurers CHUBB, Berkely One, PURE, and Cincinnati Insurance Companies have announced credits will be given to their personal auto insurance policyholders.
Credit Information for CHUBB Personal Auto Policyholders:
Upon renewal, CHUBB Personal Auto Insurance clients will receive a credit reflecting a 35% premium reduction for the months of April and May, with additional discounts for subsequent months, as the situation warrants.
Berkley One Refund for Personal Auto Policyholders:
Each client with an active auto insurance policy will receive a 20% refund on April and May auto premiums.
PURE Reduced Miles Refund to Personal Auto Insurance Policyholders:
PURE will issue a 15% credit on all regular auto premiums for the period of time from the introduction of state stay-at-home orders until they are lifted.*
Cincinnati Stay-at-Home Auto Premium Credit:
Cincinnati Insurance and Cincinnati Casualty personal auto insurance clients will receive a 15% credit per policy on their April and May premiums.
No Action is Required by Policyholders to Receive Credits/Refunds:
No action is required from policyholders in order to receive the credit or refund. Existing PURE and Cincinnati auto insurance policies will automatically be credited, while CHUBB personal auto clients will see a credit reflected upon renewal. All premium and rate adjustments are subject to regulatory approval in each respective state.
